About Grizzly Backflow & Plumbing

Backflow Testing Company in Nutrioso, AZ Near Me

Arizona runs on irrigation. Desert landscaping in Nutrioso, AZ still uses drip lines and sprinklers, and every one of those systems needs a backflow device on the potable side under rules enforced by local utilities and ADEQ.

Heat is the bigger enemy in the low desert. Sun hardens rubber check discs and the UV breaks down plastic caps, so devices fail tests sooner than they would further north. Higher elevations around Flagstaff and Prescott still freeze. Grizzly Backflow & Plumbing connects you with testers for irrigation backflow testing, backflow device rebuild kits and test report filing. Call (833) 990-5874.

If a device fails, the tester can often rebuild it on the spot with a kit for that brand and retest it the same visit. Reports go to your water provider with the serial number copied from the body tag. Call (833) 990-5874 for irrigation backflow testing, rebuild kits and backflow prevention in Nutrioso, AZ.

Backflow testing FAQs

Questions about backflow testing

Questions Nutrioso, AZ property owners ask about backflow testing and backflow prevention.

Talk to a person
Will my water be off during the test?
Yes, briefly. The tester closes the shutoff valves on the assembly while reading the checks, so water downstream of the device is off until the test is done.
Does my lawn sprinkler system in Nutrioso, AZ need a backflow preventer?
Almost every US plumbing code requires one on irrigation, since fertilizer, pesticide and standing water at the heads can siphon back. The device type depends on local code and how the system is laid out.
What is a cross-connection?
Any point where drinking water piping can come into contact with a non-potable source. Common examples are a hose in a bucket, a boiler fill line and an irrigation system.
How much does backflow testing cost in Nutrioso, AZ?
Pricing depends on device type, size and the local market. Call (833) 990-5874 for current pricing on backflow testing in Nutrioso, AZ.
Is fire sprinkler backflow testing different?
Yes. Along with the standard check valve test, NFPA 25 calls for an annual forward flow test on fire line backflow assemblies. Results often go to both the water utility and the fire authority.
